To seamlessly import your Stock and Futures trades from Sierra Chart into TradeZella, follow these steps.
Exporting trade data from Sierra Chart into a file
Access your Sierra Chart desktop account.
Click on "Trade" from the upper header menu.
Go to the Trade Activity tab.
Select "Fills" from the dropdown menu and hit "Apply" to display the trades you wish to import.
Use the filtering controls at the top of the log to refine the display if needed.
From the header menu, click "File," then select "Save Log As."
Save the log as a text file to your desktop.
Uploading the exported file into TradeZella
Visit the TradeZella Add Trade page here or by clicking the “Add Trade” button on the sidebar.
On the Add Trade page, click “Add New Account” if you’re creating a new account for these trades.
If you’re uploading trades to an existing account, simply click on the “Add Trades” button in the account field:
On the Add New Account page, select Sierra Chart as the broker and click Continue.
Next, select the File Upload method and click Continue again.
On the final step, select the timezone of the file and upload the file. The system will handle the rest.
Common Errors
File Format: Ensure the saved file is in text format as exported from Sierra Chart.
If your file fails to upload, please ensure it matches the sample Sierra Chart export below. If it does not match, you may have missed an import step or exported the file in incorrect format.
