With our straightforward guide, you can easily import your trades from Sterling Trader Pro into TradeZella. Follow these steps to ensure your trading data stays accurate and up-to-date.
Exporting trade data from Sterling Trader Pro into a file
Launch the Sterling Trader Pro desktop application.
Log in to your account.
Navigate to the Trading Monitor or Position Manager window in Sterling Trader Pro.
Configure the columns to include the following fields in this exact order: Date, Time, Symbol, Shares (Qty), Exe Price, Side.
Click "View" and select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
In the pop-up window, navigate to the "Columns" tab.
Select Date, Time, Symbol, Shares (Qty), Exe Price, Side.
Click "OK" to save your column configuration.
You will be able to rearrange it by dragging the column.
Once your columns are configured, export the data to a .txt (text) file.
Click on "Actions" and choose "Save" to save the file to your desktop.
Uploading the exported file into TradeZella
Visit the TradeZella Add Trade page here or by clicking the “Add Trade” button on the sidebar.
On the Add Trade page, click “Add New Account” if you’re creating a new account for these trades.
If you’re uploading trades to an existing account, simply click on the “Add Trades” button in the account field:
On the Add New Account page, select Sterling Trader Pro as the broker and click Continue.
Next, select the File Upload method and click Continue again.
On the final step, select the timezone of the file and upload the file. The system will handle the rest.
Common Errors
Please ensure to use the execution price from the Trading Monitor and not the order price.
Ensure that you have selected the correct date format during the upload process to avoid any issues.
If your file fails to upload, please ensure it matches the sample Sterling Trader Pro export below. If it does not match, you may have missed an import step or uploaded the incorrect file format.
