With our straightforward guide, you can easily import your trades from TopstepX into TradeZella. Follow these steps to ensure your trading data stays accurate and up-to-date.
Exporting trade data from TopstepX into a file
Log in to your TopstepX account.
Navigate to the "Trades" tab.
Click on "Export" at the bottom right corner of the Trades tab.
Select the date range of the trades you want to export and click "Export."
⚠️ If your file is empty after exporting, try selecting a longer date range to ensure all data is captured. For example, if you’re exporting today’s data, we recommend selecting yesterday as the start date and two days from now as the end date.
Save the exported file in CSV format to your desktop.
Uploading the exported file into TradeZella
Visit the TradeZella Add Trade page here or by clicking the “Add Trade” button on the sidebar.
On the Add Trade page, click “Add New Account” if you’re creating a new account for these trades.
If you’re uploading trades to an existing account, simply click on the “Add Trades” button in the account field:
On the Add New Account page, select TopstepX as the broker and click Continue.
Next, select the File Upload method and click Continue again.
On the final step, select the timezone of the file and upload the file. The system will handle the rest.
Common Errors
File Format: Ensure you export the trade data from the "Trades" tab in TopstepX, not the "Orders" tab. TradeZella expects data from the Trades tab for proper import.
Empty File: If your file fails to upload, verify that the file contains your trade data and is not empty.
