Exporting trade data from MotiveWave into a file
Begin by launching the MotiveWave desktop application.
Navigate to the bottom left of your screen and click on the Account tab.
Scroll down to find the list of positions or trades.
Click on the Trades tab.
On the right side, above the list of trades, locate and click the Export button.
Save the exported file as a CSV on your desktop or preferred location.
Uploading the exported file into TradeZella
Visit the TradeZella Add Trade page here or by clicking the “Add Trade” button on the sidebar.
On the Add Trade page, click “Add New Account” if you’re creating a new account for these trades.
If you’re uploading trades to an existing account, simply click on the “Add Trades” button in the account field:
On the Add New Account page, select MotiveWave as the broker and click Continue.
Next, select the File Upload method and click Continue again.
On the final step, select the timezone of the file and upload the file. The system will handle the rest.
Common Errors
⚠️ MotiveWave has a default limit of 2,000 executions per file. If you have more than 2,000 executions(Your trade on multiple profiles), you’ll need to update this limit in the Trade History settings before exporting your data.
Make sure the exported file is in CSV format, as TradeZella only supports this format for MotiveWave imports. An example file is attached for your reference.
