Introducing... Carrier Ratings!

Functionality

Carrier ratings serve as a way to determine how a carrier's recent activity is measured within the Carrier App. Your rating can be found on the menu bar under "Your Account."

Important to note: If you manage multiple carriers, simply click the drop down at the top of the page to switch between each carrier to check their rating.

How does my carrier rating work?

Transfix uses several key performance metrics over your past 50 rolling shipments to aggregate your Carrier Score.

Why do I want a high Carrier Score?

Your Carrier Score helps the Transfix platform to connect you with the best loads and lanes available and prioritizes you with our top shippers. Higher scores can also help you land dedicated lanes and reserved offers.

As a carrier, we understand that achieving the highest marks will be important, so here's a breakdown of our scale and how a carrier's recent activity will impact it. A carrier rating can be scaled from 1 - 5 โญ๏ธ's. You can see a breakdown of these below as there are three main buckets that carriers will fall into:

  1. Top Tier

  2. Keep Going

  3. Needs Improvement

What shipments affect my rating?

Your overall score is based on your most recent 50 shipments with Transfix.

So how is my rating determined? Glad you asked! There are three main categories by which your rating will be determined:

  1. On Time Rate:

    1. Transfix will monitor the most recent 50-100 shipments that your carrier picked up or dropped off. The more often that your shipments are executed within 30 minutes of the pick-up/drop-off time, the higher your rating in this category.

  2. Tracking Quality

    1. As a carrier, you should understand that tracking shipments is important and we at Transfix want to reward carriers that have their shipments tracked. Tracking each recent shipment by the Transfix Mobile App or by ELD will determine the carrier score in this category.

  3. Late Cancellation

    1. This percentage will measure the rate at which carrier shipments have been cancelled within a 24-hour period before the pick-up time. The less times this occurs will result in a lower percentage which will provide a higher rating! This score will only be affected by issues that occur on the carriers' end

How do I improve my rating?

Transfix automatically monitors three criteria โ€“ on-time appointments, tracking rate and late cancellation โ€“ to determine Carrier Scores, so boost those metrics and see better scores right away. Plus, with assessments of a rolling 50-load history, your scores can increase quickly as soon as improvements are made.
