Layover Policy & FAQ

Layover provides compensation when the carrier has been dispatched and the day of the pickup or delivery has been changed by one or more days.

Eligibility:

  • Carrier was on time for pickup or delivery

  • Carrier followed all other applicable shipment policies & procedures as listed in the Ratecon

  • Delivery has been changed by one or more days.

    • Rate = $250

  • Q: Who should I contact to request a layover?

  • Q: How long does it take to process layover requests?

    • A: Transfix aims to action requests for layovers as quickly as possible by working with the shipper/receiver facility.

  • Q: What if the layover is multiple days?

    • A: Transfix will compensate layovers for each eligible day, per the policy and layover rate. Delivery to a crossdock facility will be considered for multi-day layovers.
