Overview

A new standard field for selecting the Load Type has been introduced. This field provides a fixed selection of load types to ensure consistency and clarity across all operations.

Purpose

The Load Type field is crucial for distinguishing between different transport types, particularly for carrier-based invoicing. For example:

  • LTL (Less-than-Truckload)

  • FTL (Full-Truckload)

This distinction is necessary as the field is used to indicate whether a transport is FTL or LTL. Ensuring accurate selection will help streamline invoicing processes and avoid potential errors.

Available Selections

The following options are available in the Load Type field:

  • FTL

  • LTL

  • CEP/Parcel

  • FCL (Full Container Load)

  • LCL (Less-than-Container Load)

  • Bulk

  • CPU (Customer Pick-Up)

  • LTL Groupage

How to Use

  1. When creating or updating a transport order, locate the Load Type field in the order form.

  2. Select the appropriate load type from the dropdown menu. Ensure that your selection aligns with the nature of the transport:

    • Use FTL for full truckload shipments.

    • Use LTL for less-than-truckload shipments.

  3. Save the changes to ensure the selected load type is recorded.

Key Notes

  • Carrier-Based Invoicing: It is mandatory to set the Load Type field accurately for carrier-based invoicing, especially when distinguishing between FTL and LTL.

  • Default Behavior: The Load Type field is not mandatory, if carrier based invoicing is appears its important to set the Load type.
