Transport Order Form Settings
The Transport Order Form Settings feature allows you to customize and automate the process of creating transport orders. By predefining rules and field behaviors, you can streamline data entry and ensure consistency across all orders. This tool lets you configure fields to be hidden, optional, or required, and set up rules for automatic field population based on specific inputs.
Field Configuration
You can tailor the form's fields to meet your company's specific needs. This helps ensure that the correct information is always captured and that the form isn't cluttered with unnecessary fields.
Hidden: This setting completely hides a field from the form. This is useful for fields that aren't relevant to a particular type of transport order or for internal fields that shouldn't be visible to the user.
Optional: An optional field is visible on the form but doesn't have to be filled out to save the order. This is a good choice for data that's helpful but not critical.
Required: A required field must be filled out before the order can be saved. Use this for essential information like Company code or Load type to ensure data integrity.
Automatic Field Population
This powerful feature lets you set up rules that automatically fill in fields based on the user's input in another field. For example, you can create a rule that says:
If the Customer field is "X Logistics," then the Load type field is automatically set to "FTL" (Full Truckload) and the Currency is set to "USD" (United States Dollar).
This automation saves time and reduces the chance of human error. It also ensures that data is consistent, as the system will always use the same predetermined values for a given set of conditions. This makes the form more efficient and user-friendly.
