Route Manifests
The first thing the carrier dispatcher will see in Yard Visit Portal is their list of Route Manifests (RM). They’re are the “blueprint” of the driver’s day built by the dispatcher. It contains basic information for the loading and/or unloading of shipments such as yard address, name of buyer, supplier, vehicle, driver, number of stops etc.
Currently, each RM contains a Yard Visit (previously known as Open Booking) created in Transport Assignment (TA). Grouped Yard Visits/Open Bookings in TA will appear as different stops in a RM.
From them carriers can schedule appointments for those stops.
Filtering
The main way of filtering Route Manifests is by (yard visit) start date and end date, but more filters can be found in the filter icon.
Views
Card/table view
The Route Manifest list page has two views: a more “visual” card view and a more pragmatic and data-centric table view. Those can be switched in the top right hand corner of the screen.
Compact/standard/comfortable
A controversial topic in next-gen D&Y design is the size of the table rows. While adding more white space makes the design look more modern, we lose space for more data. An easy way to fix this was to add a button for the user to choose the data density.
