Once an appointment is scheduled, the carrier dispatcher can swap or reschedule this appointment (scheduling window rules allowing) by clicking on the “Book” button again. The “scheduling flow” UI will look different this time around displaying the options Rebook and Swap instead of slots.
Swapping Appointments
In a swap operation, the dispatcher is swapping one scheduled slot for another scheduled slot. The UI will show only available slots and yard managers usually requires carriers to provide a reason.
