What is Grid Configuration?
The Transport Order Grid is the central hub where you see all your assigned Transport Orders.
By default, it displays all available columns, but you can customize it completely to match your workflow — hiding columns you don't need, showing the ones that matter most, and organizing them exactly how you work best.
Why Configure Your Grid?
Focus on what matters:
Hide columns you don't use daily and keep only the data relevant to your operations
Faster scanning:
Organize columns in the order that makes sense for your workflow — no more hunting for key information
Multiple workflows:
Create separate views for different transport modes or operations, then switch between them instantly
Better visibility:
Lock important columns so they stay visible when you scroll, and use color-coded icons to spot new or updated orders at a glance
Search and filter:
Quickly find specific Transport Orders using built-in search and filtering tools
How to Configure Your Grid?
Step 1: Understand the Default Grid Layout
When you first open the Transport Orders grid, you see all available columns.
The first column displays a colored icon that indicates the status of each Transport Order:
Yellow circle:
You have been assigned to a new Transport Order
Blue triangle:
These visual cues help you quickly spot which transport orders need your attention.
Step 2: Hide or Show Columns
To customize which columns appear in your grid:
Open the Transport Orders grid
Look for the Workview button (in the top right corner)
Give your Workview a Name
Uncheck columns you don't need to hide them
Check columns you want to display
Your grid updates instantly to reflect your choices
Step 3: Move and Lock Columns
Once you've chosen which columns to display, you can organize them:
To move a column:
Click and drag the column header to a new position
Release to drop it in place
The column order is saved automatically
To lock a column:
Click Locker icon in the column you want to lock
Locked columns stay visible when you scroll horizontally, so critical data is always in your view
Step 4: Create Multiple Workviews
The real power of grid customization is creating multiple Workviews — different saved layouts for different operations.
To create a new workview:
Customize your grid as described above (show/hide/move columns)
Click the Save Workview
Click Add Workview button
Give it a descriptive name, such as:
"Ocean Bookings" — shows only ocean-related columns
"Road Transport" — displays road-specific data
"Daily Review" — shows all critical columns for your morning check-in
"Container Management" — focuses on container and port details
Click Save
To switch between workviews:
Click the Workview button (in the top right corner)
Look for the Active Workviews list
See which Workview you are currently using
Look for the My Workviews list
See all your saved workviews
Select the one you want to switch to
The grid instantly switches to that layout
Step 5: Use Search and Filtering
In addition to customizing columns, you can search and filter your Transport Orders:
To search:
Look for the Search box in the Workview configuration toolbar
Type a Column Name
Uncheck columns you don't need to hide them
Check columns you want to display
The grid filters instantly to show matching results
To filter:
Click the Filter button in the column header in the Grid
Select the criteria you want to filter by (e.g., Transport Mode = Ocean or Transport Order Status = Ready for Pickup)
The grid updates to show only matching Transport Orders
You can combine multiple filters for more precise results
Best Practices
Use color-coded icons:
Pay attention to the yellow circles (new assignments) and blue triangles (updates) — they're your visual cues for what needs attention
Create workviews by operation type:
If you handle multiple transport modes or operations, create a separate workview for each — it's much faster than customizing the grid every time
Name your workviews clearly:
Use descriptive names like "Ocean Bookings" or "Road Transport" so you instantly know which view to use
Lock critical columns:
Always lock the "Creation Date", "Transport Order Number" and "Transport Order Status" columns so they're visible when you scroll — these are your reference points
Hide columns you never use:
The fewer columns visible, the easier it is to scan the grid quickly — remove anything that doesn't add value to your daily work
Combine filters with workviews:
Use the Transport Order Mode or Transport Order Status filters together with your workviews for maximum efficiency
Review and refine regularly:
After a week or two of using a workview, ask yourself if it's working well — adjust columns or create new views as your workflow evolves
