ALL milestone updates are made on the Transport Side only (Actual time entry), these updates are automatically copied from the TO side to the correct Material Order and Sales Order.
For a single material order with 2 locations, we have 6 milestones.
Collection Location : Arrive --> Collection --> Depart
Delivery Location : Arrive --> Delivery --> Depart
Milestones can be updated in the 'Transport order grid' or in the 'Trips grid' in 2 ways:
By left-clicking on the individual milestone and updating the date and hour. The clock icon on the right provides the possibility to enter the current date and time
By right-clicking on the milestone and selecting "Update Milestone"
When entering an actual time on a given milestone, the actual time can't be before the actual time entered on the previous milestone or after the actual time entered on the next milestone
By holding the mouse cursor over the milestone you will see the scheduled deadline and (if updated) the actual update.
Intelligent typing allows you to enter dates and times more efficiently:
Dates:
1507 becomes 15-07-2017
15 becomes 15-07-2017 if the current month is the 7th
Hours:
06 becomes 06:00
0611 becomes 06:11
The milestone type settings table provides the opportunity to specify whether or not a milestone will be considered early or late
When milestones are updated early or late the system will ask for a reason. Automated reason codes from the masterdata are generated which will later be used for key performance indicators.
Milestone statuses:
Early: Actual updated but it's earlier than the ontime window.
Ontime: Actual has been updated and is within the ontime window.
Done: Actual has been updated but ontime status is unknown due to the missing schedule
In transit: Not yet within the arrival-departure window.
Incoming: Within the arrival-departure window
Warning: Within 20 minutes of the deadline
Warning status is "X" minutes before schedule TO time. The "X" is 20% of the drive time of the TO
Minimum value: 10m
Maximum value: 120m
A script checks every 5m to see if a warning alert should be sent
Overtime: More than 5 minutes over deadline
Late: Actual has been filled in but it is past the ontime window.
These reason codes and their actual times can be changed as long as the order has not been set to ready for reporting
You have 2 sections :
Scheduled: Reason codes have to be entered for schedule change or schedule time that has been inputted on a later time.
Actual: Reason codes for early/late updates and reason codes if actuals have been updated at a later/earlier than the time entered as actual.
If you can't save the milestone update, you can hover your mouse icon over the red field and the system will tell you what went wrong
