What is an alert?
Alerts help you to actively anticipate or react to problems in your order flow. Alerts are messages that are triggered based on a certain status or event. Alerts notify users in the Control tower by use of pop-ups, sounds, and number highlights in the alert tab. You can also choose to have alerts emailed to your email address.
An example can be the time-based trigger of lacking a delivery actual, where the first alert is sent after 120 minutes and the second alert after another 120 minutes. It's also possible that simultaneously with the second alert an incident is created.
If Incidents are created based on these settings, then they will also be automatically closed once the issue is resolved
Example: If the incident is created because the goods aren't delivered, it will be automatically closed once the Transport Order is updated with an actual delivery time.
Setting up alerts
At the top right of the Control Tower bar, there's "My Account", click on it and navigate to "Configure my Alerts"
After clicking on "Configure my Alerts" a pop-up opens where you can add the desired alerts.
Alert Filters
There are 2 main filter categories:
Customer (Sales Order)
Carrier ( Transport Order )
Each filter has 4 options:
Allow NONE
Allow ONLY: Allows you to specify one or more values for which you want to have alerts.
Allow EXCEPT: Allows you to specify one or more values for which you do not want to have alerts.
Allow ALL
You can ignore these since you're only seeing the information for you as a Carrier and your Customer.
