We are pleased to inform you that we have launched a new version of our TOPS Control Tower, 4.17

Editable columns: SO / MO / TO reference fields

In order to allow editing of the TO/MO/SO reference field regardless of the Order status, we reconfigured the columns to allow editing. This way, you will always be able to adjust these references.

Editable columns: Billing customer

Allows editing of the SO Billing customer field without having to open the Order form.

This column can be edited when the order is active or canceled, however, it cannot be edited if the order has status "ready for billing". You can also add an event ( in the CT Role ) to make sure the order history shows the change of billing customer.

Scheduled and actual times alert

This alert can be used by regular users within CT and as an outgoing event to inform the Carrier about the updates on TO-level. It is one alert per TO which indicates a change has been made to the scheduled time and/or an actual time.

  • TO Event: Collection Actual update

  • TO Event: Collection Schedule updated

  • TO Event: Delivery Actual update

  • TO Event: Delivery Schedule updated

The events can be activated in the event section of the control tower role. Alerts are activated in "configure my alerts"

Template Masterdata

We created a central database for all order templates that are created by users in the new "Order Templates" masterdata table. The table can be used as an overview of existing templates and to create new templates.

1) Fleet management interval filtering

New zoom feature to get a detailed overview of current trips planned for the next hours or a full overview of the next 3 days

The user can choose from:

  • 6 hours

  • 2 Hours

  • 1 Hour

  • 30 Minutes

  • 15 Minutes

2) Opening the details pane from Fleet Management is now easier. When a user double-clicks on a transport order in the TO grid or the Route (stops or drive time) on the planboard, instead of opening the stops grid model, we now open the order details pane

Sales order form Rate Request button

A new button is added on the sales order form to allow users to create a rate request while creating the order. If you create the order and then save it, you will see the rate request button at the bottom of the order form

Batch actions

We created a new table that provides an overview of your batch action, the table can be found under "My Account". It creates a log for all actions taken with the "batch action" button in the grid menu.

Holiday Warning

In order to avoid orders being planned for couriers that are ( or will be ) on holiday, we added a confirmation pop-up notifying dispatch that the courses has a planned holiday.

Sales Order Settings: Distance correction

Sales order settings now have an option to configure a Distance Correct % for your customers for the calculated driving distance. The system will add x% to the calculated route distance to correct any routing inconsistencies. The rates will be matched
based on the calculated distance + correction %.

Recalculate rates

The batch actions section of the grid menu now includes an option to recalculate the Fuel, Freight, and Surcharges for the orders in the grid. Once the action starts, you can follow up on it in the batch actions window

ETA email configuration

Email settings were expanded to include the ETA emails

Division level measurements and language

The Division masterdata table now includes extra settings to indicate which units of measurement should be used when orders are created in your Divison

The new addition to the cost management section is called Rate Explorer. Here you can find matching rates and surcharges based on order codes or specific filter criteria.

Optional Reason code

This option allows you to configure the system as such, that users and external systems will be able to optionally provide a reason code when they update a milestone and the actual is on time compared to the scheduled time. This way carriers/drivers can provide additional information, even when they are on time.

Location instructions in CUP

Customer Portal user can now save their location together with instructions,

so that they don’t have to retype the same instructions each time they create an order for that location
. The instruction is then stored in the location masterdata:

Surcharges

The surcharges have been reworked to allow more configuration. The Fuel surcharges have moved to this table and we added a new feature for automatic insurance addition. We added 2 new Rate Classes:

  • Percent rate

  • Fixed rate

At the bottom, you can specify to which cost type(s) the percent rate should be applied
