After setting up your division, you can add service levels.

Admin -> Masterdata -> Service Levels

Service Levels define how freight rate costs are applied.

To make a new service level, click new -> choose your division.

Define a Service Level Code and Service Level Name. This code and name can be anything but the code must be unique.

Sales rates

Billing Logic:

Here you can choose between 3 options:

AB = When an Order is routed, the billing distance will be determined based on the distance between the first collection stop (A) & the last delivery stop (B)

ABA = When a Sales Order is routed, the billing distance will be determined based on the distance between the first collection stop (A) & last delivery stop (B), back to the first collection stop (A)

(also known as a Roundtrip)

CABC = when a Sales Order is routed, the billing distance will be determined based on the distance between the closest courier base (C), the first collection stop (A) & last delivery stop (B), back to the courier base (C)

Apply to All Billing Legs:

This option only makes sense for 'Include Last Mile' or "Multimodal Separate Legs".

When you have Multimodal Separate Legs: f.e. from Antwerp to New York: Truck -> Boat/Plain -> Truck. In this case, you would have 3 separate legs. If you would apply the option: Apply To All Billing Legs, all 3 trips would be the same billing logic.

The same goes for Include The Last Mile: f.e. China warehouse -> Belgium warehouse (AB) -> your home/Local store (Last-Mile).

Rate calculation:

  • Single TO

  • Include The Last Mile

  • Multimodal Separate Legs

See above for explanation.

Purchase rates (Transport Order rates):

Here you have the same options as with Sales order rates: AB, ABA, CABA

As an extra option, you can select Weight instead of Distance. This way, it is possible to add weight specifications to rate selection.
