In the case of EXW or FCA transport, the carrier is contracted by either the sender or the receiver. This adds a layer of complexity since the shipper has no contact with the carrier and thus is not able to manage the carrier pool.
Book a slot
For this flow, we create a Public Booking Page. If you have a Transport Order number and the delivery/collection date of the Slot Booking location, then you're able to create a booking.
Flo will ask you to give her your email address so she can inform you when the booking is updated, rescheduled or even canceled.
Before you can book a slot, you're asked to fill in some questions that were configured by the shipper (all these fields are pre-filled with data from the TO). Additionally, the carrier/supplier can add a comment, carrier name, license plate(s) and driver name.
In the end, the slot suggestions are calculated based on the shipper’s section preferences. The supplier/carrier can choose and book the slot that fits best.
Well done, the slot is booked!
When you went through all the questions and when you've selected a slot, you should receive a confirmation email and the shipper will be informed and see the booking.
Update your booking
When you want to update something, you can return to the Public Booking Page, select 'Edit your slot' and re-enter the Transport Order number and date.
Or you can click on the button in your confirmation email.
Both ways, you'll end up on an overview page of the slot in which you can update, reschedule or cancel.
