In the case of EXW or FCA transport, the carrier is contracted by either the sender and the receiver party. This adds a layer of complexity to the use case since the shipper has no contact with the carrier and thus is not able to manage the carrier pool.
For this flow, we created a public login page, on which everybody with a valid combination of Transport Order number and date (end of the slot range), can book a slot.
Book a slot
All fields in the booking wizard, will be pre-filled with data from the TO. Additionally, the carrier/supplier can add a comment, carrier name, license plates and driver name.
In the end, the slot suggestions are calculated based on the shipper’s dock preferences. The supplier/carrier can choose and book the slot that fits him best.
When booking a slot, you’re asked to provide an email address, so we can send a confirmation email afterward.
View booking info in SB
When the supplier/carrier booked a slot, it’ll appear in the shipper’s list view and schedule view. The shipper can access the detail page for more info or when wanting to edit the slot.
View booking info in TMS
The license plate and driver info will be filled in CT.
The user will see the carrier in the flyover.
Update booking from SB/TMS
Users with the correct rights are able to update, reschedule or cancel the booking at any time. The person that booked (and left his email address) will receive an email.
