🚀 New features

Hey, hey! We're pretty pumped to let you in on a little news. (No, Flo isn’t pregnant) But your carrier portal just got a big, fat update! Thrilled? So are we. Here’s what’s changed.

Subcontractors

The carrier can manage a TO that he subcontracts to another carrier: With this feature, he’ll be able to create subcontractors in his settings (invite them to CAP, although they will not see the TO’s in there yet). On a TO, the carrier will be able to assign a subcontractor. The shipper will be able to see the subcontractor in his TMS.

Add a subcontractor

  • Add a connected shipper

    • The connected shippers are allowed to see all carrier’s subcontractors

  • Users can also delete a subcontractor

Assign a subcontractor to a TO

  • Users can assign a subco

  • Users can also reassign subcontractors

Send QR code to the driver

  • Send an email with QR code to the driver

  • See the assigned/pending driver

Processing status

Sometimes there are long waiting times for saving something in CAP. This feature gives users a loading sign until the action is saved, and it allows users to follow up on the action in a side panel.

  • When the carrier saves, for example, an LP in CAP, the system will show a loading sign in the section that’s being updated.

  • In the side panel on the right side, the user can follow up on the action he/she did

    • In progress

    • Error

    • Saved

  • When an error occurs, the ID can be copied to investigate the issue.

Hazardous vs dangerous

The shipper can indicate which material is hazardous and which material is dangerous. The carrier is able to see both properties in the load details. When the TO contains at least one hazardous or dangerous material, the correct icon should be displayed in the orders overview and on the TO detail page so the driver immediately sees it.

Handling units

This feature shows the packaging hierarchy in the load details on the collection/delivery screen in the wizard, in the transport order details, and in the weighing flow.
Per handling unit, the carrier can see the quantity and handling unit action.

🌈 Feature improvements

Spot Tender

You can now manage the permissions of the carriers a bit more. They can choose if and until when carriers can edit or delete bids. This setting is configurable per template. Next to this, there are two small improvements:

  • You can’t start a spot tender when there’re no parts on the TO when the price format needs to be calculated based on the part’s properties

  • Carriers can’t place a bid the same as the lowest price

Weighing flow

When the shipper wants to know the exact amount of material that’s collected/delivered on the stop, the shipper can force the driver/carrier to update the weight on the material line, and/or material group.

  • The shipper can configure the system such that a weighing workflow will be triggered in the Mobile App during the update of the
collection/delivery step.
    See this article for more.

  • This workflow will prompt the carrier to update the weight of the material that is being collected/delivered.

  • Depending on how the system is configured, the carrier will either have to provide weight on material line-level or material group level:

    • Update the weight for each material line (this is used for billing the carrier)

    • Update the weight per material group (this is used for billing the customer)

  • The carrier isn’t able to continue the execution of the TO without filling in the weight

  • When the weighbridge flow is enabled, the carrier will get a reference that he needs to add when registering the weight on the weighbridge. This can be a weight reference for

    • Material line

    • Material group

Invite multiple admins

Shippers can now delete, edit or resend a carrier invitation.

Inviting multiple admins

  • Open the MD of the carrier

  • Edit a new carrier with a VAT, that’s not invited to Carrier Portal yet

  • Scroll down to the Carrier Portal section

  • Enable ‘invite carrier’

  • Fill in an initial admin and save

  • Edit the carrier again, scroll down and you’ll

    • Extra input fields to invite other users to the carrier.
Fill in a valid email address and click on the save/check icon next to the input field

    • Cross icons → Delete the invitation
→ The carrier won’t be able to use his invitation email anymore

    • Arrow icon → Resend the invitation mail
→ The carrier will receive a new invitation email (the previous one might be expired)

Error when user already exists

  • When you invite a user that is already linked to another carrier or to a Slot Booking account, the email address will turn red. When hovering over the email, the error is explained.

  • In this case, please invite another user.

Material table improvements

  • The improved material table (with all the new columns, search, filter, and search functionality), is now available on the spot detail page.

  • Users want to see the data differently based on their origin (miles, kilometers, pounds, or kilograms). The setting on the user’s profile page allows him to change this throughout the application.

Extra fields

Yey, more transport order information is available for the carrier. They are now able to see:

  • The billing vehicle type of the transport order

  • The invoice reference field of the transport order

  • The part code

    • In the material line table

    • In the material group table
