Beep, boop! Greetings, humans! It's Flo, your trusty robot mascot, I'm here to introduce some exciting new features in our latest release. I've been programmed with the inside scoop, so buckle up and let's dive into the wonders that await you.
Provide spot contact info
With this update, the contact information (name, phone number and email) of the person that started the spot tender will be shown to the carriers. They can now quickly access and contact the shipper via email or phone using the provided contact information directly from the spot tender grid and the spot detail page. This feature promotes efficient communication and collaboration, ensuring smooth logistics operations.
Visibility of non-participating carriers with their comments
We are excited to introduce a new feature that provides shippers with valuable insights into the carriers who choose not to participate in their spot tenders. With this update, shippers can now view a list of non-participating carriers and their accompanying comments, allowing for a better understanding of their decisions and enabling a learning opportunity.
Real-time visibility of carrier engagement allows shippers to track bid activity as it happens, enabling faster decision-making and enhancing the overall tendering experience.
Allow carriers to place a bid in their own currency
With this update, shippers can give the carrier now freedom to submit bids in their preferred currency. By accommodating multiple currencies, shippers will promote inclusivity and encourage broader participation from carriers worldwide.
Shippers can enable the multi-currency bidding feature in their spot tender templates.
However, please note that certain automated functionalities, such as allocation, target, and max price calculations, will not work when this feature is enabled. The system does not convert bids into a single currency for the shipper, as rates are not saved in the system. This ensures transparency and avoids potential discrepancies during the bidding process.
