This new feature streamlines the process of handing over the goods from the Driver to the Recipient using digital technology. It eliminates paperwork and makes the process more efficient.
Step 1: Scanning the QR-Code
When the Driver arrives at the unloading point, he/she will show the QR-code towards the person in the warehouse that will coordinate the receipt.
The Recipient uses their smartphone to scan this QR-code.
Once scanned, the Recipient gains access to the eCMR
They need to enter their name and phone number for identification.
After entering this information, a PIN code is sent to the Recipient via a text message
Entering the correct PIN code gives the Recipient access to the eCMR.
Step 2: Stepping through the eCMR
Once inside the eCMR, the Recipient will go through several screens to complete the goods receipt process. Here's what they need to do:
Verify the Consignor and Consignee information.
The displays the information of the Ship-From and Ship-To address, to verify whether this is the right shipment to receive.
Clicking NEXT will bring the Recipient to the following step.
Verify documents to handover
When documents have been handed over and a registration of it has been made on the eCMR, this screen provides the information of what documents have been handed over to the Driver.
There Recipient can use this to verify whether all the accompanying documents have been received.

Review Shipper and Carrier findings
In the event that either the Shipper and/or the Carrier/Driver has found some irregularities on the shipment, these will be displayed here. Making the person that receives the goods aware of what already has been discovered

Verify the goods lines
The goods that are contained in this shipment are displayed and the user would need to verify the quantities and completeness of the goods in the shipment.

Confirm shipment quality
The most critical step is confirming the quality of the shipment. If everything looks good, they press the 'ALL GOOD' button. If there are any issues, they press 'PROBLEMS' and can add comments or take/upload pictures.

Sign the document
The last step involves checking details of the recipient name and any reported problems. If all is correct, the Recipient presses the 'SIGN CMR' button. A digital signature is added to the document.
Step 3: After completing the eCMR
When the eCMR is completed by the Recipient the PDF of the eCMR can automatically be shared to the notification email address of the Recipient. A copy of the signed eCMR in PDF-format including the evidence in the form of pictures is being shared.
In case there is no notification email address is given, the eCMR needs to be shared manually by the Shipper or Recipient.
