Un-assign / Update carrier after transport order activation via API

Currently we allow users to un-assign or modify a carrier on a transport order even if the order has been activated. We made this available now via our standard API.

API for Deletion of Transport Order Drafts

Background:

In response to user demand for enhanced testing capabilities within the integration platform, we have introduced automated deletion of transport order drafts. This feature addresses the need for automated testing scenarios, ensuring robust testing processes for all users.

How to Use:

  • Users can leverage this feature to automate the deletion of transport order drafts, simplifying the creation of test scenarios and streamlining testing processes. By utilizing the provided API or automation scripts, users can delete draft orders programmatically, replicating the UI behavior.

Additional Details:

  • This feature caters to users seeking to enhance testing capabilities within the integration platform, enabling automated deletion of transport order drafts.

  • By providing the ability to delete drafts programmatically, users can create comprehensive test scenarios, improving overall test coverage and efficiency.

  • Test automation scenarios now align closely with UI behavior, ensuring consistent and reliable testing outcomes across the platform.

  • API reference: to be disclosed

Additional fields on External Events > Material Order Updates

Goal:

The goal of this feature is to enable additional fields on external events when specific updates are made to Material Orders in Control Tower (CT). This functionality ensures synchronization between CT and external systems, such as ERPs, for seamless data management.

How to Use:

Users with the appropriate role configuration in CT can update collection/delivery scheduled times and shipping unit quantities in Material Orders. Upon making these updates, external events will be triggered automatically, facilitating synchronization with external systems. This feature enhances data consistency and streamlines processes for users managing Material Orders.

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Access Control Tower in CT and navigate to the Material Order section.

  • Ensure that your role configuration includes the "Control Tower Role > events > Material Order > Update" permission.

  • Update a Material Order by making changes to one of the following:

    • Collection scheduled time

    • Delivery scheduled time

    • Shipping unit quantities

  • After saving the changes, verify that an external event is triggered and recorded in the history log.

Additional Details:

  • Users must have the appropriate role configuration with the "Control Tower Role > events > Material Order > Update" permission to trigger external events for Material Order updates.

  • This feature enhances data integrity by ensuring that changes made to Material Orders in CT are promptly reflected in external systems.

  • Users can review the history log in CT to track the triggering of external events and monitor data synchronization activities.

Addition of Delivery Postal Code to Tracking Requests

Goal:

The goal of this feature is to enhance the tracking request process in CT by including the delivery postal code in the metadata while a tracking request is sent. This enables users to receive the specific data by making tracking requests that include the postal code.
