Sharing Itineraries

Which option to choose when sending your itinerary/proposal

When sharing an Itinerary/Proposal, there's a few different options available. Let's go over them now!

To share an Itinerary, we'll first click on the blue Share button in the top right corner of the itinerary builder.

These options will appear:

Get Link to Itinerary View

Email an Itinerary Invite

Clicking on Get Link:

Web Link

This link you can copy will show events for the View that you have selected. Changing the View will change what the link shows.

App Link

This link you can copy will open the itinerary in the Trip Plans app for the View that you have selected. Changing the View will change what the link shows.

Full Detailed Itinerary (All Travelers)

This link you can copy will show all events meant for all travelers. This means that anyone who has this link can view all information on the Itinerary.

Clicking on Email an Itinerary Invite to Travelers:

This option will allow you to send an itinerary email invite to your travelers, with the option of requiring them to sign in to view the itinerary.

What if I have Classic Editing enabled?

With Classic Editing enabled, the options will be the same, but you will be unable to share a link to any other view except for the Main Itinerary View, which only shows events with no tags.

Sending the Main Itinerary web and app links will show any and all events that have 0 tags on them. It will not show events with tags on them.

The Full Detailed Itinerary link shows all events for everyone on the itinerary regardless of tags (though hidden events will remain hidden). Since this is the full detailed view, all personal information like prices and confirmation numbers will also be visible. Anyone with this link will be able to toggle between different travelers’ itineraries. This can be useful, for example, if you share the full itinerary with an event planner so they can view all travelers’ schedules.

Note: If the itinerary doesn’t include any tags, you can share either link.
