When creating your own Website in your Travefy account you will be able to add in different elements and customize them to showcase your own personal style.

In several of the elements, you will see the field Image Alt Text.

Uses for the Image Alt Text Field

Adding alternative text to photos is first and foremost a principle of web accessibility. Visually impaired users using screen readers will be read an alt attribute to better understand an on-page image.

Alt tags can also be displayed in place of an image if an image file cannot be loaded.

Alt tags provide better image context/descriptions to search engine crawlers, helping them to index an image properly and come up when searched on web browsers.

How to add Image Alt Text to an Image in your Website Builder

To add Alt Text to an image on your website, you will first want to locate an Image Alt Text field in the Website Builder.

You will then be able to enter in the text that you think would best describe the image you are adding.

Being as descriptive as possible for the image will be the most helpful.

Example of adding in Image Alt Text

See the example below on how to add in Image Alt Text to the different images in your Website builder.

In this example the location shown in the picture is from Ronda Spain. So an example of Image Alt Text for that picture might look like - scenic bridge in Ronda Spain.

Again, the more descriptive language you are using for the picture you are including on your Website, the better!
