Users of the Trip Plans and Travefy Pro app can receive push notifications when there is a change to their flight or a new message is sent in the discussion panel. To turn these notifications on/off in each app, go into the discussion panel and click the "gear" icon.

You'll also want to make sure push notifications are turned on in your phone's settings. If you would like to turn off push notifications for all trips, this would be the easiest way to do that. For iPhone users, this can be found under settings -> notifications -> Travefy Pro. Similar steps for Android.

General Flight Notification Info: We notify for departure gate assignment, departure gate changes, cancelations, and delays. All notifications start when the flight becomes active (~48-72 hours prior to scheduled departure). Gate changes are the only notifications limited to start within 6 hours of the departure time.

If the traveler doesn't have the app, they will get notifications to their email. And they can enable/disable those emails after logging into the shared itinerary.

Agents can enable/disable notifications from the builder, the shared itinerary, and from the Travefy Pro app.

How do I know which kind of notification I will get?

If you have the app installed and you enable push notifications on the device, you will receive a push notification for any unseen chat messages.

If you don't open the chat to view the message, you will receive an email within 30 minutes of receiving any unseen chat messages telling you how many unseen messages you have in the trip's chat.

If you have the app installed, but do not have push notifications enabled in the device settings, you will receive an email for each unseen chat message sent to the trip. (make sure app is updated to latest version for this)

If you do not have the app installed, you will receive an email for each unseen chat message sent to the trip.

If you disable notifications for a trip using the settings icon in the discussion panel of the app or the shared itinerary, you will not receive any chat notifications (push or email) for that trip.

If someone is tagged to a flight, only people that are tagged to a flight will receive the updates. If there are multiple people on a trip but no one is tagged to the flight/event, they would all receive the flight notification.
