This guide shows you how to add new trucks or equipment to your Tread Horizon account using the web application.
Step 1: Access Tread Horizon
Navigate to https://app.tread-horizon.com/dispatch
Step 2: Open Settings
Click "Settings".
Step 3: Navigate to Equipment
Click "Equipment".
Step 4: Start Creating Equipment
Click "Create Equipment".
Step 5: Enter Truck Number
Enter the Truck number in the "Truck Number/Name" field. This is not the driver or nickname of the truck. It must be the Truck number, like: 567
Step 6: Select Equipment Type
Click this combo box to select or enter a new "Equipment Type".
Step 7: Choose or Add Type
Click on one of the available types or enter a new one.
Step 8: Add New Equipment Type (Optional)
Click "Add New 'New Truck Type" and enter the Type name, if entering a new equipment.
Step 9: Enter License Number (Optional)
Enter a License Number if needed.
Step 10: Add Shared Company (Optional)
Click "+ Add Shared Company" if you will be sharing this truck with an owner operator/vendor.
Step 11: Select Company to Share With
Click this field to share the truck with a vendor or owner operator.
Step 12: Set Sharing Permissions
Once you select the vendor or company to share the truck with, select if it is dispatchable or only for viewing.
Use Dispatchable if you are sharing the truck with a driver, then click on "Create".
Step 13: Confirmation
Once the new truck type is added clicking on "Create", you will see a notification showing it was added successfully.
