Creating a New Site
Navigate to the Sites menu at the top of your screen.
Click Create Site.
Enter or select an address. Tread will generate a geofence around that location.
Choose your geofence type:
Circle — A standard circular geofence around the selected address.
Polygon — A fully customizable shape. You can drag and adjust each point of the polygon to precisely define the boundaries of the site.
Enter a Site Name and select a Site Type.
Coordinates will be generated automatically and will also be visible to drivers when they are dispatched to a job that includes this site.
Click Create to save the site.
Editing an Existing Site
Find the site in the Sites menu and click the pencil icon to edit.
From here you can:
Change the geofence type to Circle, Equipment, or None.
Use the zoom controls to better position and size the geofence.
Switch to Satellite view for a clearer picture of the location and surrounding area.
Enable the Traffic overlay to see traffic activity in that area.
Click Submit to save your changes.
Adding a Site from an Order
You can also create or select a site directly when building an order, without going to the Sites menu first.
Go to Dispatch and open or create an order.
In the pickup or drop-off site field, click Create New Site to set up a new site using the same process described above. The site will be saved to your system and applied to the order.
Alternatively, select any existing site from the dropdown to include it in the order.
Setting Up Multiple Geofences on a Site
Tread supports adding more than one geofence to a single site. This is useful when a location has distinct areas for staging and active work.
Open the site you want to edit and click Add Geofence.
Set the geofence type for the additional zone — for example, a Staging geofence or a Loading geofence.
Position each geofence to match the specific area where trucks will be staging and where they will be working.
Click Submit to save all geofences.
