How to create, dispatch and edit jobs in Tread as a Dispatcher

As a Dispatcher, in Tread you can create an order and dispatch the jobs necessary to complete your deliveries. You can send these to internal drivers or subhaulers.

Note: Admin, Dispatcher & Biller roles can create and edit jobs

To create a job, an order has to be created first.

Log into the platform on desktop or laptop here: https://app.tread-horizon.com/

  • Use phone number or email for username

  • For mobile access, please download the "Tread Material Logistics" app:

Click on Sales →Orders →Create Order

Or

Dispatch →New Order

Complete the required fields, and Create your order.

Once you create the order, the respective jobs are generated and you are ready to dispatch those drivers, vendors or subhaulers to deliver the order.

Now you can use the Assign Job To dialog to select your internal, leased drivers or subhaulers. After assigning a driver or subhauler, select the Send button to complete the process.

Before you dispatch, please allocate a truck and trailer if applicable.

To select a truck, and trailer if needed, click on the field Trailer or Truck and select the truck required to complete the job. If no truck is selected, your driver or vendor will be able to use their own truck selected from their account settings.

This could be their usual truck or the one they are using at this time.

Once the job has been sent or dispatched, you can keep track of the progress in the Actions column. The status flow for jobs progresses as follows:

  1. Created

  2. Accepted By Driver

  3. To Pickup

  4. Arrived Pickup

  5. Loaded

  6. To Dropoff

  7. Arrived Dropoff

  8. Unloaded

  9. In Review

  10. Completed

Editing a job

To Edit a Job, click the Edit button, located at the end row, next to the 3 dots. This will open the job dialog to make the necessary adjustments. Click on Submit to complete your edits. If required, the driver will receive a Push or Text notification to alert them of the changes made.

Cancelling, marking it as Complete, Unassigning, creating a Duplicate job or sending a text message is also available from the Jobs subtab.
