What is Facebook Business Manager?
“Business Manager serves as a one-stop shop to manage business tools, business assets and employee access to these assets.”
·It allows you to give partners access to your pages and ads, without handing over ownership of the assets.
Step 1 - Create a Facebook Business Manager account
The first stage of setting up Business Manager is to create an account. You’ll need to use a personal Facebook profile to confirm your identity.
Follow the link from the advertising & content page of the dashboard. If you haven’t set up Facebook Business Manager then the following page will appear:

2. Enter your business name, your name, and the business email address you want to use to manage your Facebook Business Manager account, then click Next.
3. Enter your business details: address, phone number, and website. You’ll also need to specify whether you’ll use this Business Manager account to promote your own business, or to provide services to other businesses (like an agency). When you’re finished, click Submit.
4. Check your email for a message with the subject line “Confirm your business email.” Within the message click Confirm Now.
Step 2 – Add your Facebook Business Pages
In this section you will be shown how to connect already existing Facebook business pages to Business Manager.
If you manage Facebook pages for clients or other businesses, you can also request access to someone else’s page.
To add your Facebook Page to Business Manager:
From the Facebook Feed on desktop, click the dropdown arrow in the top right and select the Business Manager Account you would like to add a Facebook page to:
2. This will bring you to your Business Manager Homepage where you can access the Business Settings in the top right corner of the screen. Click on the blue Business Settings button.
3. In the Accounts menu on the left, click on the Pages menu item.
4. This will open the Pages sub menu. Click on the blue + Add button.
5. From this dropdown menu you can select to add a page. (You can also request access to a page that you did not set up yourself and can create a new page)
6. Here you can paste the page URL or can search for the page by typing in the page name. Once you’ve done this click the blue Add Page button.
7. If you are the admin of the Facebook Business Page then you will have added the page successfully and will receive this message.
8. If you do not have admin access to the page then you will receive the following message.
9. If you have more than one Facebook page associated with your business, add the remaining pages by following the same steps.
Step 3 – Add your Instagram Accounts
Now that you’ve got your Facebook pages connected, you can connect your Instagram account to Facebook Business Manager as well. In order to do this your Instagram account must be an Instagram Business Profile.
To change your personal Instagram Account into an Instagram Business Profile follow the following steps:
Go to your profile from the Mobile App and tap the Settings button.
Tap Account.
At the bottom, tap Switch to Business Profile/Professional Account and select the Facebook Page you would like to associate with your Business Profile on Instagram with.
Make sure your profile is set to Public. Note: Private accounts can’t switch to Business Accounts.
On the Set Up Your Business Profile page, review your business’s contact information, make any changes and tap Done.
Now that you have your Instagram Business Profile set up follow the steps bellow to connect it to your Facebook Business Manager so that you can publish advertising from the Retail Partner Portal to Instagram as well.
From your Business Manager dashboard, click Business Settings at the top right.
2. In the left column, click Instagram Accounts.
3. Click the blue + Add button.
4. Click Connect your Instagram Account.
5. In the pop up box enter your Instagram log in details and click Log In.
6. Select the ad accounts and pages that you'd like to assign and click next (this step is optional and is not required to use the Retail Partner Portal advertising).
