Navigating your EnergyLink Report
On the EnergyLink Report Page, you can select a month you would like to work on at the top left corner. Current month is automatically selected when accessing the page.
In addition to modifying accounting month and downloading the export file, you can also “zoom in” on any specific invoices and audit the system directly from Tressl.
The report has a nesting nature, and each line contains the entries once you expand them:
Applicant -> Agreement -> eRoad -> EnergyLink Detail Line Notation
When expanding the organization lines, you can look into associated addendums, grants, individual charges and details, all stored one inside the other, to find any missing or incorrect cost centers, UWIs, amounts, and anything else that needs to be corrected.
📌 Tip: When incorrect or missing information is found, you can go to a specific Addendum -> eRoad mentioned and modify appropriate information to regenerate billables.
The invoicing charges that you see under each line for each month all come from the invoices that you can find under the Invoicing & Payments tab of the project.
Modifying Addendums to Regenerate Invoices
To regenerate invoices and correct the billables, you can modify each specific Request under the Agreement. If you can’t locate the agreement, you can find the agreement number when it is associated with the invoice. By navigating to your Invoice or Agreement Inventory, find an Invoice by the number and locate the agreement number next to it.
Navigate to the Agreement Inventory after to locate the project it is stored under. Once in the project that agreement belongs to, please navigate to the specific eRoad(s) and click Modify.
Here, you can add missing Cost Centers on a specific eRoad, update the UWI or Location. When you hit Update, you will be offered to regenerate any invoices that needs correcting. Select the invoices to click Submit
👉 To ensure Tressl has well production and status data to generate the monthly invoices, we connect with a third-party software to capture public AER Data. To optimize the accuracy of production data, we recommend implementing a 3-month delay in your road use billing.

📌 Please note: If the accounting month was already submitted and released through EnergyLink, any changes made in Tressl will not affect that the released accounting month but will affect future billing. We recommend checking all the billables and adjusting the changes in Tressl before your final export and submission into EnergyLink.
Manage Your Accounting Exports
To navigate to your Accounting reports, find the Reporting at the top bar menu.
Your choice of the accounting system (Qbyte/Pandell) is saved under your Accounting Settings.
Your accounting export has a similar structure where you can indicate the month you want to work on and download the CSV or Excel sheets file.
The preview display will outline the export you are about to download and wil showcase the Voucher Amounts associated with Major and Minor Accounts as they pertain to BA numbers of your Grantees.
The export indicates Invoice Number and Invoice Date. Invoice Number is generated by the Tressl system. You can find and reference these invoices in your Invoice Inventory under Inventory on the top bar.
📌Tip: If the export is not displaying correctly, hit Reset Display at the top right corner. This will resent any previous settings that you might have set up previously to the Sheet.
📌Tip: When you download any of these reports, the sheets on your end become static. Any further changes in the system will not be reflected on these documents. Once you perform any changes in Tressl on specific addendums (e.g. adding Cost Centers or editing UWIs), make sure to export the file again.
Managing your Accounting Settings in Tressl
To manage your accounting information, please go to Account Settings under your account picture at the top right corner, and click on Accounting Information on the left or scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Manage Internal Applicant IDs.
This allows you to edit any Accounting ID or BA numbers for your Grantees. You can search by company name or by existing BA number, and then edit any entries using the edit button on the right-hand side.
Customize EnergyLink Detail Line Notation.
This is how the display details for induvial requests EnergyLink invoice will look like for your applicants when the specific month has been released. The Detail Line Notation display is customizable on your end.
These will represent the details of the billables, which are unique for each eRoad on an addendum and are pulled directly from the eRoad details.
A little eye button allows you to preview how the invoice would look like with sample data.
Customize EnergyLink CC Description.
This customizes the layout of the invoice description your applicants get in EnergyLink under each Addendum number. UWI and Location are usually the items that are included.
The editing interface is very similar to Customizing the Detail Line Notation.
Manage Accounting Codes – allows the organization to set up Major and Minor Accounts, GST numbers, debit/credit accounts and the accounting system (Qbyte). You won’t have to go here much unless Strathcona changes any of that information in the future.
