What is a Trend Analysis Report

Trend analysis is the process of evaluating past data to identify patterns and make informed predictions about future changes or behaviors. The Rota King Trend Analysis report focuses on Sales and Labour within your business. Using these two criteria you can then run Actual, Forecast and Budget reports. These reports will give you the option of showing data in currency or as a percentage.

How to Run a Trend Analysis Report

  1. Go to Reports which is in the left side navigation panel.

  2. Select Trend Analysis that sits under Financial.

  3. Select the Date and Location.

  4. There will be a drop down menu with 18 various reports that can be run. Starting from Actual Sales all the way through to Actual vs Forecast Sales

  5. Click Run.

  6. Make sure the expected information appears in the on-screen report, and then click Download to export the data in the Excel spreadsheet.

💡Tip! In Actual Sales the numbers in the Pie Chart represent the weeks!

How to schedule a Trend Analysis Report

Scheduled reports can be set to automatically send to the relevant members via email, keeping them informed and ensuring that no one misses important information.

  1. After running the report, simply click Schedule.

  2. Give the report a title.

  3. Select the suitable frequency and time.

  4. Enable the report attachment if required. This allows recipients to view the report directly without having to log into Rota King, provided the report size is under 10 MB.

  5. Add email addresses.

  6. Click Save.

To make changes to a scheduled report, navigate to the Scheduled Reports section under Reporting, select the report you wish to modify, and edit it as needed.
