Much like you would bookmark a site in a web browser, users can assign folders and documents as a “Favourite”. This allows the user to display only their favourites rather all folders/documents in the Collaboration, Informed Projects and Internal Documents modules.
To assign a folder as a favourite, locate it in the relevant module and highlight/select it.
From the toolbar options, select the "Favourite" option.
The view will revert back to the main folder list. Click the favourite star in the top right corner of the page.
This will display all folders and/or documents the user has favourited.
This same process can be done for documents that are frequently accessed. To view only the favourited documents (not folders), enable the “Only Favourite Documents" option and the view will update accordingly.
LOCKING FAVOURITE VIEW
Some users require access to specific files or folders regularly. These may be documents that are constantly viewed (ie Protocols) or documents that are often required to be accessed for download (ie PICFs).
It is possible for users to change their view settings so that only favourited documents/folders are displayed when they navigate into Collaboration Module.
To do this, select Collaboration Module, then click the Favourites icon in the top right.
Favourited folders and documents will be displayed. Enable the “Lock Favourites Only View” toggle.
This has now locked the user’s favourites as their default view in Collaboration Module.
Once the view is locked, each time the user clicks into the Collaboration Module, only these favourited folders and documents will be displayed.
Users can navigate to sub-folders within these folders as per normal.
Should a user wish to view a Collaboration Module folder or document that isn’t favourited, turn off the Lock Favourites Only view toggle, to revert the view to all folders and/or documents.
When enabled, the Lock Favourites Only View is saved as a user preference between sessions. Each time you log in to SiteDocs Portal, the chosen view setting will be retained.
