Resources are “inanimate objects” that may be required to deliver an Experience, Rental or Transfer (e.g. bikes, tennis courts, vehicles, equipment).
Important:
Experiences: Resources are optional and should only be used when an experience needs to be linked to specific resources and their individual availability.
Transfers and Rentals: Creating and assigning Resources is mandatory. The product must be linked to available resources for it to function correctly and be bookable. This is an essential part of the product setup.
How to set it up
Step 1: Go to the product's Fundamentals > Resources section.
Alternatively, resources can be accessed from the left-hand menu under More > Operators & Resources.
Step 2: Click on Add new (or NEW RESOURCE if setup is done from the More section).
Step 3: In the pop-up window that appears, complete the following fields.
Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
Name: Enter the name of the resource.
Example: For a car, enter the model or brand.
Type: Select the resource type. Additional fields may appear depending on the selection.
Note: For internal use only - not shown on the widget.
Category: Select or create the resource’s category.
Example: small, medium, large (for vehicles)
Note: Used to group resources into categories that will be displayed on the widget during the booking process.
Quantity: Enter the number of available resources.
Order: Define the order in which the resource will be booked.
Note: The system automatically assigns resources based on the defined order.
Minimum Number of Participants: Enter the minimum number of participants that can use the resource.
Maximum Number of Participants: Enter the maximum number of participants that can use the resource.
Baggage: If “Vehicle” is selected in the Type field, enter the number of allowed baggage items per resource.
Child seats: If “Vehicle” is selected in the Type field, indicate whether child seats are available.
Description: Enter a description of the resource.
Note: For Rentals and Transfers, this description will be visible on the widget.
Products: Link the resource to one or more products.
Note: Applicable when the resource is created from the More menu.
Media: Upload an image of the resource.
Allowed file types: jpg, jpeg, png, svg
Maximum file size: 1 MB
Recommended size (in pixels): 1200 x 400
Note:
For Rentals and Transfers, this image is displayed on the widget.
Click SAVE once done.
Step 4: Link the resource(s) to the appropriate schedule(s) in the respective product, by selecting Dependencies per resource and then choose the specific resource(s).
Step 5: Expose Resources if needed (available for Experiences only).
Activate the Expose Resources option (found under the product's Settings & Policies > Bookings) to allow customers to select a preferred resource during booking.
Example: For a tennis lesson, customers may be able to choose a specific tennis court.
You can preview the product by clicking on the Preview button.
Once Resources are configured, proceed to Schedules.
