Custom fields

Refer to any additional field(s) required in order to capture customized information from the customer during the booking process.

Custom Fields can be used to allow the customer to enter the required information during the checkout stage of the booking process.

Example: Room or Reservation number, Dietary restrictions, Health issues, etc.

Custom Fields are available under the Settings & Policies section of each product.

Alternatively, they are also available on the left hand-side menu under More > Data Management.

To insert a custom field on a product, click on Add new to create and add a new custom field.

Then, complete the required fields.

Title: Enter the title of the Custom Field.

Description: Complete if extra information is needed for the Custom Field.

Note: For internal use only - not shown on widget.

Type: Select the appropriate type of custom field from the available options:

  • Text: Customer will reply in free text.

  • List: Customer will select a value from a predetermined list.

  • List with multiple values: Customer will select multiple values from a predetermined list.

  • Checkbox: Customer will reply by checking the available checkbox.

In case the List or List with multiple values option has been selected, enter the values that will appear on the list of the corresponding custom field.

Example: For a meal selection, meat, fish, vegetarian can be entered.

Note: Multiple values should be comma-separated and without spacing between them (e.g. Meat,Fish,Vegetarian).

Order: Enter the order in which the custom field will appear on the booking form.

Available for each participant: Activate if the custom field needs to be completed for each participant.

Mandatory: Activate if the custom field is mandatory for the completion of the form.

Hide from widget form: Activate in order to hide the custom field from the online widget booking form.

Note: If not activated then the custom field will be available on both online (Widget) and offline (Book Now) booking forms.

Displayed to customer: Select whether the custom field data is to be displayed on the confirmation emails sent to all selected parties.

Displayed on Filters: Select whether the custom field data is to be displayed on the filters section (advanced search) in the list of bookings.

Validation Rules: Refers to the parameters required in order for the custom field to be completed correctly. Select the appropriate validation rule of the custom field from the available options:

  • Min: The value entered in the custom field will be restricted by the designated minimum number.

  • Max: The value entered in the custom field will be restricted by the designated maximum number.

  • Is Numeric: The value entered in the custom field must be numeric.

Note: This feature is applicable only if the Type selected is Text.

Example: A custom field for โ€œAgeโ€, could have a validation rule where the age limit is 6 years old and above. This means that only values greater than 6 can be inserted in the custom field.


Alternatively, if applicable, select from the existing custom fields that have already been created.


You can preview the product at any point using the Preview button.
