Discounts allow the creation of discount packages for specific product(s).
Depending on the discount Category selected, the designated discount will be displayed to the customer on the widget’s calendar or/and at the 2nd stage of the booking process.
The Discounts can be found under the More > Marketing section on the left hand-side menu.
To create a new discount, click on New Discount on the top right hand-side of the page.
Then, complete the required fields.
Name
Insert the name of the discount.
Active
Activate the discount so that it can be applied to the product’s price and displayed during the booking process.
Category
Select the category of the discount from the available options:
Offer: The discount will be applied to the total price of the booking.
Coupon: The discount will be applied on the last stage of the booking process where the coupon code will have to be inserted in order for the discount to be applied to the total price of the booking.
Participant Offer: The discount will be applied according to the number of participants.
Session Offer: The discount will be applied according to the volume of bookings (i.e., number of sessions).
Transaction Offer: The discount will be applied to the total price of the booking. In this case the option to select all products is available without having to also select the prices.
Transaction Coupon: The discount will be applied on the last stage of the booking process where the coupon code will have to be inserted in order for the discount to be applied on the total price of the booking. In this case the option to select all products is available without having to also select the prices.
Description
Insert a description of the discount.
Date Type
Select between the two available options to be applied to the discount:
Season Period: Define a season that the discount is available by selecting the start and end date as well as the days of the week.
Example: From March 1, 2021 to March 31, 2021 for all days of the week.
Fixed Dates: The discount is available on specific date(s).
Example: March 5, March 15, May 1.
Time Type
Select between the two available options to be applied to the discount:
Time Period: Define a time period that the discount is available by selecting the start and end time.
Example: From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fixed Hours: The discount is available on specific hour(s).
Example: 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 6 p.m.
Products
Select the specific product(s) and price(s) on which the discount will be applied.
Prices
Select if the discount is to be calculated using a fixed monetary value or percentage and enter the monetary value or the percentage.
Notes:
If the Participant Offer or Session Offer has been selected from the Category field, enter the minimum and maximum number of participants or sessions required for the discount to apply.
If the Transaction Offer or Transaction Coupon has been selected from the Category field:
The option to apply the discount to all products is available without having to also select the prices.
Additionally, the option to apply a maximum monetary discount amount to the booking is available.
Example: If the discount is set to 50%, but the maximum discount amount is limited to €40, and a booking is made with a total cost of €100, the discount applied will be capped at €40. Therefore, the final cost of the booking will be €60 (€100 - €40 = €60), instead of €50 (which would be the discount at 50%).
Click on SAVE once all actions have been completed.
Important note:
Only one discount can be applied to a product.
If multiple discounts are associated with a product, the system may not calculate the discount properly.
