How to create an asset group template

You can create a template by defining the common properties you want to share across multiple assets or entities

What is a template

Templates can be used to share common properties among different asset groups or entities.


How do I build a template

  1. Head over to Templates that can be found in the configuration (the cog icon on the right corner).

  2. Click on Add Template, located in the top right-hand side of the page.

  3. Give your template a name.

  4. Tick the Use in Asset Groups checkbox.

  5. Hit Create.

  6. Head over to the Properties tab.

  7. Select Add Section to create a desired section.

  8. Click on Add Property to add questions as required.

Quick Note - From here, you can fully customise your template as you please. The next stages of this guide will show you how to build a specific template that can be used for a periodic compliance inspection.


How do I use the asset group template

  1. Go to Asset Groups, and click on the physical group which you want to apply a template.

  2. Click Add Section, give the section a name, and select the suitable template.

  3. Click Create.

  4. The template is now applied to each asset.
