Promo Cash

What is Promo Cash?

Promo cash is bonus money we give you. It can come from a deposit match, a wheel spin, or a promotion. It shows up as part of your balance in the app, listed separately from your regular cash on your profile page.

How it works

  • You can use promo cash to enter paid games. If your regular cash does not cover the full entry fee, promo cash covers the rest.

  • You cannot withdraw promo cash directly. It has to unlock first.

  • Promo cash unlocks as you enter games with your own real cash. Each grant has its own requirement. A "3x" requirement means every $3 of real-cash entry fees unlocks $1 of that promo cash.

  • Unlocking is automatic. There is no button to press.

  • Entry fees paid with promo cash do not count toward unlocking. Only real cash counts.

  • When promo cash unlocks, your total balance does not change. The money just moves from the promo part of your balance to the withdrawable part.

  • If you enter a game with promo cash and win, your winnings come back as promo cash first, up to the amount of promo cash you used. Anything above that is withdrawable cash.

  • Each grant is tracked on its own, so you may see more than one promo cash item.

  • If a game is cancelled or refunded, you get your promo cash back in full.

  • If you withdraw or move your balance to the Rips app, any promo cash that is still locked is forfeited.

Example: Entering a game with promo cash and winning

You have $2 in regular cash and $5 in promo cash. You enter a game with a $7 entry fee.

  • Entry: $2 comes from your regular cash and $5 comes from your promo cash.

  • You win $14.

  • First $5 of the winnings comes back as promo cash, because that is how much promo cash you used for the entry.

  • The other $9 is paid as withdrawable cash.

  • Result: $9 withdrawable cash and $5 promo cash, for $14 total.

That $5 is promo cash again, so it still needs to be unlocked before you can withdraw it. Since you used your entire regular cash in your entry, there was no regular cash in your balance to convert so no progress towards your playthrough is made. If you had extra cash in your balance, progress would have been made.

Common questions

I entered a game with my entire balance and won, but I made no playthrough progress on my Promo Cash. Why?

Promo cash only converts when you have extra normal cash in your balance that wasn't used in your entry amount. If you entered with your entire balance and won, your winnings do convert to regular cash, just your base amount of promo cash used will stay the same.

Why can't I withdraw my promo cash?

Promo cash is a bonus, not money you deposited. It becomes withdrawable as you enter games with your own real cash. Once it unlocks, you can withdraw it like any other cash.

Why do I see more than one promo cash item?

Every grant is tracked separately, and each one can have a different unlock requirement. So a deposit match and a wheel spin prize will show up as two items.

A game I entered was cancelled or refunded. Do I get my promo cash back?

Yes. Any promo cash you used for that entry is returned in full.

What happens to my promo cash if I withdraw or move my balance to Rips?

Any promo cash that is still locked is forfeited. It does not come back. If you want to keep it, keep entering games with your real cash until it unlocks before you withdraw or transfer.
