What do the note statuses mean?

Understanding the Notes Section

A note's status indicates whether it is still being worked on or has been finalized.

Open

An Open note:

  • Can be edited

  • Can be deleted

  • Can have attachments added

  • Can have addendums added or deleted

  • Can be marked Complete when your documentation is finished

Complete

A Complete note:

  • Can no longer be edited

  • Cannot be deleted

  • Existing addendums cannot be deleted

  • Can still have new attachments added

  • Can still have new addendums added

  • Displays the Date Completed

What happens next

When you click Mark Note Complete:

  • The note status changes from Open to Complete

  • The original note becomes read-only

  • Future updates are added as addendums, preserving the original documentation

Tip

Use Save for later while you're still documenting a client session. Once your documentation is complete, select Mark Note Complete to preserve the original note while still allowing future updates through addendums.
