How do I add an addendum to a note?

Addendums

You can add an addendum to an Open or Complete note to document additional information without changing the original note.

Add an addendum

You can add an addendum in either of the following ways:

Option 1: From the Notes list

  • Go to Notes

  • Locate the note

  • Click Add Addendum

Option 2: From within the note

  • Open the note

  • Click Add Addendum in the upper-right corner

Option 3: From the menu

  • Open the note

  • Click the three dots (⋯)

  • Select Add Addendum

Complete the addendum

  • Enter the additional information

  • (Optional) Add attachments

  • Click Save

Formatting options

Addendums support the same formatting options as notes, including:

  • Bold, italic, underline, and strikethrough

  • Headings

  • Text and highlight colors

  • Bulleted and numbered lists

  • Text alignment

  • Hyperlinks

What happens next

  • The addendum is linked to the original note

  • The original note remains unchanged

  • Multiple addendums can be added to the same note

  • Each addendum is saved with its own timestamp

Important

Addendums are used to document new information while preserving the original note. They do not modify or replace the original documentation.

Tip

Use addendums for follow-up information, updates, or corrections instead of creating a new note for the same client interaction.
