What are the benefits of booking appointments on the calendar vs. creating a “New” invoice?

Appointment Management

Updated yesterday

Both methods trigger payment reminder emails on the 3rd and 6th day after billing, but booking on the calendar offers a more streamlined client experience and simplified billing workflow.

  • Booking Appointments on Calendar:

    • Instant client emails: Booking details (virtual link or in-person address) sent immediately.

    • Automated reminders: Clients get session reminders 24 hours before and within one hour of the appointment.

    • Unified scheduling view: Appears on your calendar and in the Upcoming tab.

    • One-click virtual start: Launch virtual sessions from the calendar, Upcoming tab, or client profile.

    • Streamlined billing: After the session, click Mark as Complete—appointment date, service, and saved line items autofill for quick invoice creation.

  • “New” Invoice in Billing:

    • Manual entry: No linked appointment date or service; line items must be added manually.

    • No booking emails or session reminders: Only billing notifications are sent.

    • Flexible use case: Ideal for sessions not scheduled on the calendar or miscellaneous charges.

Both “Booked on Calendar” invoices and “New” invoices will send unpaid payment reminders on day 3 and day 6 after invoicing.
