What can I do if I created a “New” invoice instead of billing via the “Open” tab?

If you’ve already issued a “New” invoice outside the Open tab workflow, you can tidy up your appointments list and switch to the recommended billing method:

  • Mark the appointment as missed:

    • Go to the Open tab under Appointments, find the session, and click Mark as Missed.

    • This moves the appointment into the Missed tab and clears it from your Open list—no notification is sent to the client.

  • Why use “Mark Session Complete” instead:

    • Billing through Mark Session Complete (in the Open tab) links your appointment’s date, time, service, and saved line items automatically.

    • It reduces manual data entry and keeps your calendar, appointment history, and invoices perfectly in sync.

By switching to Mark Session Complete for future billing, you’ll streamline your workflow and ensure every session’s details remain accurately associated with its invoice.
