Summary
IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) reporting requires carriers to track mileage driven in each state or province. Truckbase supports this with the Monthly Miles by State view on your equipment records, giving you a per-truck breakdown of GPS and corrected miles that you can review, edit, and export. If enabled for your account, Truckbase also provides a dedicated IFTA report in the Reports module with a combined view of miles and fuel by state.
What Is Monthly Miles by State?
The Monthly Miles by State view organizes your ELD-sourced mileage data by month and jurisdiction, making it easy to prepare IFTA reports. Each row captures:
Month β The reporting period for the mileage entry
State/Province β The jurisdiction where the miles were driven
ELD β The ELD device and vehicle name the data came from
GPS Miles β Raw miles recorded by the ELD
Corrected Miles β An editable field for any adjustments you need to make
Actual Miles β The final miles used for reporting (GPS or corrected, as applicable)
Updated On β When the record was last synced or modified
Where Can You Access IFTA Data?
Page | Description |
Equipment Detail β ELD mileage tab | View, add, edit, and export monthly miles by state for a specific truck |
Reports β IFTA dashboard | A combined report showing miles and fuel gallons by state across your fleet (if enabled for your account) |
