There are a few steps to signing up for a True account:
Enter a phone number that can receive a text messaging. We will ask you to verify your number with a confirmation code sent via sms.
Fill in your personal information including a unique email address
Make sure your information is accurate as it will be confirmed by Equifax to ensure your identity.
Once you enter your full name, address, date of birth and Social Security number it is matched to the credit files with Equifax. If you run into an error telling you you’re missing some important information, it could be because the information on Equifax is slightly different from what you’re entering.
Here are some ways you may be able to get past this if there is an error at this stage.
Try former names or addresses
Confirm you are entering your full and correct SSN (Social Security Number)
Make sure you’re checking the box at the bottom
