The Lesson Sets and Labs that make up the Methods were sourced and carefully selected from TrueFire's vast library of over 85,000 lessons. Unlike a simple "bundle" of related lessons, these curated lessons had to follow a specific, step-by-step curriculum designed to guide students from developing basic skills in Level 1; to building the knowledge base, vocabulary, and skills emphasized in Level 2; and finally to mastering more advanced vocabulary, skills, and creative techniques showcased in Level 3.
To make constructing the curriculum even more challenging, it was designed to avoid tedious theory, exercises, and the need for students to read music. From the very first lesson set to the last, students learn something new and immediately apply it by playing along with studio-recorded backing tracks in a real-world musical context. Essentially, students progress through the entire method by playing. This careful curation and selection process took our educational team nearly a year to complete.
While AA students have access to all the courses from which the lessons were sourced, those original courses were never intended to serve as a complete guitar method. Instead, they focus intensively on specific topics and techniques. It's unlikely that a student would have the desire, patience, or expertise to create a method on their own—that’s our responsibility.
Understanding and appreciating this is the top reason why an AA student should invest their time and money in the TrueFire Method.
Another strong reason is the inclusion of new, highly effective learning tools: Smart Practice Tips, Study Guides, and Listening Recommendations, which accompany ALL Lesson Sets and Labs.
The third compelling reason for AA students to embrace the method is the power of assignments and discussion threads.
Each Lesson Set includes an assignment that students complete and share in the discussion thread, allowing them to connect with fellow students and TrueFire staff. Each Lab also has a discussion thread where students can ask questions, share insights, and discuss ideas with others and staff.
In both cases, students receive valuable feedback, answers, and insights that help motivate and accelerate their progress.
I'm All Access. Why should I buy the Guitar Method?
