Your actual electricity price

We have added all tariffs in the app so that you have the most accurate price for your electricity. In addition, you also typically pay both a subscription and a provider fee per kWh to your electricity company and this can be added under your profile. It may vary and depends on which electricity company and product you have, and then you must also deduct any refund (refusion) that you may receive.

If you want to know exactly how much you are paying, you can contact your electricity company and they can tell you.

Our smart charge takes the tariffs into account

Both the spot price and the tariffs (the price for transporting electricity) are included in the calculation when we plan the charging of your electric car during the cheapest hours.

The tariffs are highest during periods of peak load, defined as 17-21 every day.

In the True Energy app, you can opt for the tariff to be included in the electricity price so that the charging of your electric car is automatically scheduled for the cheapest hours based on both the spot price, tariffs and taxes.

Which tariffs are included?

The app takes the following tariffs and taxes into account: (example from an arbitrary hour in DK2 Radius).

Spot price (varies from hour to hour)

0,46 DKK

Provider fee (OK subscription)

0,01 DKK

C-tariff

0,46 DKK

System tariff

0,06 DKK

Nettariff

0,09 DKK

Tax

0,95 DKK

The tariff differs from DSO to DSO (Distribution System Operator). We automatically determine your DSO based on the geographical location of your charge box. You can also just enter your postcode, and the app will find out which DSO you have.

If you are in doubt about which network company you have, check here (DK only).

The app uses the tariffs that the DSO have registered with Energinet Dataservice. Note that a tariff can be DKK 0/kWh.

Where can I see the tariff in the app ?

When you have created your charge box, the entered address will automatically help select your DSO, and therefore display the right tariffs in the app. Tariffs are under Explore -> Electricity prices.

What is a tariff?

Part of your electricity bill consists of expenses for the DSO, which is responsible for transporting electricity to your house. The DSO owns the electricity cables in the area where you live. You cannot choose the DSO yourself. Your address determines which network company you belong to.

The price you, as an electricity consumer, pay to get one kilowatt-hour (kWh) of power transported to your house is called the "tariff". In addition to the tariff per kWh, you also pay a monthly subscription to the DSO.

You can read more about electricity prices in the app here.

NOTE!

Entering your postcode and country on the profile page and clicking "save" will make the name of your DSO appear automatically on the Explorer page. You can still see prices for other regions and other DSO's.
