Your charge plan consists of a range of colored pillars that each show what happens to your car from you plug it in until it is ready.

In the example below Ready at time is set to 10 am. The car is parked just after 4 pm and the charge plan is then generated. We create the charge plan based on the number of available hours from when you plug the cable in until your set Ready at time. That is the time interval we can use.

Below you can find an explanation of each colored pillar.

Security distance - Red pillar

If you have selected a Security distance we charge your car immediately when you plug in to ie. 20% to ensure that you can always go shopping or to the hospital if needed.

Smart pause - Blue pillar

When the car is in Smart pause it is not charging, but is waiting for a "cheap" hour to occur.

Big Battery - Purple pillar

The car will participate in Big Battery, and help balance the grid.

Smart charge - Green pillar

The electricity is cheap an the car is charging. The charge plan is made based on the car battery size, capacity and how many hours it needs to charge.

Ready at time - Yellow pillar

If you use Ready at time we "save" the last part of the charging to take place just before your Ready at time. Then the car battery is warm and you will get a better utilization of the battery.

Some car brands (Tesla) offer that the cabin is pre-heated as well.

Overdue charging - Orange pillar
When our system sees that it cannot make it until the Ready at time given the current battery level & the expected max battery. It will include the orange bars to represent extra charging time beyond the Ready at time.

Charge plan

We now know when to charge and how much and then we can make the charge plan.

Sometimes the cheapest hours are not adjacent. That means we might stop and start charging your car several times, so that your charge plan is still optimized to the cheapest hours.
