Updated over a week ago

Not an admin on the Google My Business profile? Learn how to add Google with a link instead.

1. From your Settings page, click the ADD ACCOUNT button to connect or add an account.

2. A dialog will open with review website options.

3. Find Google from the list of options and click “CONNECT

a. When prompted, Select desired account.

b. Check the last option so that Google displays your locations.

c. Click the Continue button to select your Google location.

NOTE: This is a requirement that comes from the Google API as a package in order for TrueReview to be able to fetch your Google reviews and enable you to reply to them from the TrueReview dashboard. TrueReview does not have any way of creating listings, or delete your Google business listings.

When prompted, select the Google My Business location that you want to connect to TrueReview.

Once you make your selection, you will be redirected back to your TrueReview dashboard.

You’re now ready to read, respond and collect reviews for your Google My Business page!

If you need to change your Google My Business location, click the 3 dots next to the Google connection, and select "LOCATIONS"

You will be taken back to the location selection, where you can select the location you want to manage.

Having trouble connecting to Google My Business?

  • Ensure you are an admin for the page you want to connect.

  • Ensure you have all the appropriate permissions as an admin user to connect to third party applications.

  • Important: Do not change or disable any permissions when prompted to connect your Google My Business page with TrueReview. Although TrueReview does not have the ability to delete your listings, the option to "See, edit, create and delete your Google business listings." needs to be enabled in order to access your Google locations.

  • Ensure that you are able to log into your Google Business Profile with the same email you are trying to connect with.
