How to import a CSV list of contacts
Updated over a week ago

πŸŽ‰ NEW! You can now add internal "Notes" to contacts.

To import a CSV list of contacts, go to your Contacts page, and download the CSV template.

It is important to ensure the CSV template is not modified.

  • Only add the customer's name, phone and email in the correct columns.

  • Do not modify the titles of the columns. Titles are case sensitive.

  • Each cell can only have one number or email address. Do not add multiple number or emails in a single cell

The CSV template consists of four columns: Name, Phone, Email and Notes.

Add your contact's information in the appropriate columns and make sure to Export to CSV. Do not click Save, as it will not save it as a CSV.

Note: You can add any other information that would help you identify the customer to the "Notes" column if you would like only their first name in the review requests. This is internal, and only you can see it.

Example: Work order number added to customer to help identify later if needed.

The system will automatically format the numbers to import correctly. No need to remove "1" or "+1" before numbers. However, make sure not to have any other special characters as it will cause issues when importing.

Go to your TrueReview Contacts page, and under the Contacts tab, click Import CSV.

Find the CSV file you just exported and open it.

Your contacts will import within seconds. If contacts are not importing, make sure to not change the column titles. They must be exactly as they were when downloading the template.

With contacts imported, select all or the ones that you'd like to send a review request to, and click "Create Request" at the bottom.
