We’ve completely redesigned the Org Chart to make managing stakeholders faster, clearer and more intuitive. Here’s your step-by-step guide to exploring everything that’s new and how to make the most of it!

Using Org Charts in trumpet

Org Charts help you visualise and manage all the stakeholders involved in a deal, making it easier to understand buying groups, identify gaps, and keep everyone aligned as deals progress.

This article walks through how to use Org Charts, from manual organisation to AI-powered stakeholder discovery.

What is the Org Chart?

The Org Chart lives inside every Pod and automatically maps out the people involved in a deal. As stakeholders enter the Pod, they’re added to the chart, where you can organise, edit, and enrich them with context.

Org Charts are designed to evolve as your deal does.

Organising stakeholders

Once stakeholders appear in the Org Chart, you can:

  • Assign roles such as Decision Maker or Economic Buyer

  • Add custom tags (e.g. EMEA, Enterprise)

  • Move stakeholders around to reflect hierarchy or influence

  • Create, edit, or delete connections between people

  • Change connection types

  • Copy a stakeholder’s email directly from the chart

  • Add notes and context for handovers or collaboration

This makes it easy to see who matters, how decisions are made and where influence sits.

Filtering and visibility

As org charts grow, filters help you focus on what matters most.

You can filter to:

  • Highlight specific roles (e.g. Decision Makers only)

  • View stakeholders by region or segment

  • See who has or hasn’t visited the Pod

  • Quickly identify champions, gaps, or inactive stakeholders

This is especially useful when reviewing deals, preparing for meetings or handing accounts over to another teammate.

Adding stakeholders

You can add stakeholders who haven’t yet entered the Pod:

  1. Click Add new stakeholder at the bottom of the Org Chart

  2. Search your CRM (if connected), or

  3. Add them manually using their email and details

If a stakeholder is added manually and doesn’t yet exist in Salesforce, trumpet will automatically:

  • Sync the contact to Salesforce

  • Associate them with the correct company and opportunity

This works the same way as when a new stakeholder enters a Pod, keeping your CRM and Org Chart aligned.

Finding recommended stakeholders with AI

To go beyond manual mapping, trumpet uses AI to help identify missing stakeholders.

Find new stakeholders

  • Click Find new stakeholders

  • Set search preferences such as:

    • Job titles or roles

    • Country or location

    • Company context (e.g. domain)

AI will then surface recommended stakeholders directly inside the Org Chart.

  • Note: AI features are available on Scale and Elite plans only
AI Org Chart is a setting to be enabled in AI Settings by trumpet admins

Improve org structure with AI

If your org chart becomes large or messy, you can ask AI to:

  • Reorganise stakeholders

  • Align hierarchy and connections based on job titles

  • Improve the overall structure

You can always edit the results manually afterwards.

Insights and next steps with Casey

Casey analyses activity across the Org Chart to:

  • Highlight what’s been happening in the deal

  • Surface insights about stakeholder engagement

  • Recommend next best actions based on who’s involved and what they’ve done

This helps you move deals forward with more confidence and less guesswork.

Using Org Charts in trumpet helps you:

  • Build stronger, more complete buying committees

  • Avoid missing key decision-makers

  • Improve deal handovers and collaboration

  • Reduce manual research and admin

  • Keep all stakeholder context in one place
