Connecting
A workspace admin connects ActiveCampaign from the Integrations page. You'll sign in to ActiveCampaign through a connection popup — it's set up once per workspace (brand), not per individual user. See Setting up ActiveCampaign integration
Linking pods to ActiveCampaign
When creating a pod, you can search ActiveCampaign and link it to a deal (opportunity), contact, or company. That link tells trumpet which ActiveCampaign record the pod belongs to.
What flows from ActiveCampaign → trumpet
Trumpet can pull deal, contact, and company details from ActiveCampaign when you're searching and linking records — so you don't have to copy information across manually.
What flows from trumpet → ActiveCampaign
When a pod is linked and buyers engage with it, trumpet writes activity notes back into ActiveCampaign — things like the pod being opened, shared, commented on, links clicked, videos played, files downloaded, and so on. A "Pod Created" note is also added when a new linked pod is made.
If someone opens a pod and they aren't already an ActiveCampaign contact, trumpet can create a new contact for them (this works when the pod is linked to a deal).
Also worth knowing
Pods can also be created via trumpet's public API with an ActiveCampaign link, if your team uses automations.
