What's changing
HubSpot is retiring legacy CRM cards in favour of App Cards. Most customers still use our old CRM card. This guide shows how to put the new trumpet App Cards on their record pages, so a customer admin can do it in a couple of minutes.
The trumpet app now ships four App Cards. The app is already installed, but HubSpot doesn't put App Cards on record pages by itself. Until an admin places them, each card shows "Ready for setup" and every object reads "None".
Card | Shows up in | What reps see |
trumpet | Record tab | The main card. Total views, hidden stakeholders, total signals, MAP progress, a weekly signals chart, last viewed, engagement score, Pod status, key persona engaged, and a stakeholder table. Has a View Insights button. |
trumpet insights | Right sidebar | The same Pod insights in the sidebar, so reps see engagement without switching tabs. |
trumpet Pod preview | Record preview | Pod insights in the preview panel that opens when you click a record from a list or an association. |
trumpet MAPs | Record tab | Mutual Action Plan progress for the Pod linked to the record. |
Every card works on Companies, Contacts, Deals and Services. If no Pod is linked yet, the card shows "Nothing here yet" with a button to create one.
How to add the cards
Who can do this: a HubSpot Super Admin on your account
Time needed: about 2 minutes
Reinstall needed: No
Open HubSpot settings
In HubSpot, click the settings gear in the top navigation bar.
Go to Connected Apps
In the left sidebar, open Integrations and click Connected Apps.
Find the trumpet app
Under My Apps, search for trumpet and click the app name.
Open the App cards settings
Click the Settings tab, then App cards on the left. You'll see the four trumpet cards, each marked Ready for setup.
Choose where each card appears
On a card, click Manage locations. A panel opens on the right with one tab per object.
On each object tab (Company, Contact, Deal, Service), tick every view the card should appear on. That's the default view plus any team views.
Click Save.
Repeat for the other cards. The suggested setup is below.
Check a record
Open a deal or company that has a Pod. The trumpet tab should be in the middle column and the insights card in the right sidebar. Back on the App cards page, the objects you picked no longer read None.
To check it worked, open a deal or company that has a Pod. The trumpet tab should appear in the middle column and the insights card in the right sidebar.
Remove the old card
Once the new cards show, remove the old trumpet card so your team doesn't see two of the same.
If it's on the App cards page, use Manage locations, clear every box on each object tab, and click Save.
Otherwise open a record, click Customize, remove the old card from the layout and save. Repeat for each object/team view that had it.
Do this only after the new cards are live, or the record will show no trumpet data in between.

Do I need to reinstall or reconnect trumpet?
Do I need to reinstall or reconnect trumpet?
No. The App Cards come with the trumpet app you already have installed. If trumpet isn't in Connected Apps at all, the integration was never installed and you need to connect HubSpot from trumpet first.
